Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, Coming off my spring break high, there was no time to ease into any of my work this week. With a critique in two classes, Alternative Process and Graphic Design I, my internship was not any less busy. Polishing up the The Bailey's Wood Trail project and editing The 2015 Master Gardener Spring Lecture Series from last year information and format along with the educational Summer Camp; I was definitely busy but in a different sense. In my classes it's constantly cranking out new, original ideas and while graphic design is that in same sense there's also a communication side that is so crucial and I love it. Eunkia said it best this week, "As artists you think you have to be different and you have no rules, well in Graphic Design you got to follow the rules". While many art students wouldn't be about that idea, I actually think it's easier sometimes. I like knowing what is expected of me and getting an idea and then running with it, especially in a work environment. Graphic design gives me that and if you don't know what you need to present to your audience in graphic design it's not successful. Knowing this gives me a bases to start with before I begin the creative portion. That certainty is refreshing especially in a week of critiques when your work is constantly being analyzed and scrutinized and you have defend, defend, defend.
