This week I have a lot to write about that has me feeling very excited.  My supervisor at my internship, Amy, had her baby! It's a beautiful baby girl, adding to their two other sweet daughters. While this is such a blessing, this means this was my first week working on my own at the museum! It was a busy week for the sole fact it's about time to start promoting Passport to Art, an annual summer camp program for the educational center. I also began the advertising process (postcard advertising, poster, EBlast, web posts) for the upcoming exhibit V.I.P. Gallery Portrait by Andrzej Maciejewski. This advertising process was my first learning experience when I began working at the University Museum so for history to be repeating itself yet while I am working on my own has given me a very serendipitous feeling. Also, the Maciejewski show is a series of black & white portraits of potatoes so that's kind of awesome. Info on the University Museum's site here!
I also have some special projects that I'm SO excited about. I just updated my portrait portion of my site with my beauty of friend, Davina(Below). Shooting portrait style photoshoots with friends is always a blast for me and I'm excited to have two more grad shoots up on my site shortly. In other photo news, we have begun preparing for our final for the end the semester. This project is Object and Images, a project where we create cyanotypes on actual objects. Being the analytic person I am, I am so excited for this project because it's  all about concept. If your images don't correspond and play on your materials for printing, it won't be successful. I'm also SO excited for the fact we may present our final as installation. I have been DYING to create an installation and have never had had the opportunity. And last but not least I am finishing up on my graphic design final. The final is we have to create a book and have total free range subject wise. I am creating an Alphabet Book on cocktails. This will include recipes as well as illustrations by yours truly! Seriously so excited for all these great projects in and around my life.
